Volunteer Abroad while on safari holiday in Africa!

African Child Foundation has many volunteer holiday and vacations opportunities for mission groups, families, couples or individuals who are interested in helping AIDS orphans and widows while on safari or vacation holiday in the heart of Africa. You will get to meet local people, live in a village for a few days and experience local cultures, while volunteering part of your time assisting the local communities.
“We support Responsible tourism”
Our volunteer holidays and vacations are aimed at using volunteer tourists labor and funding to alleviate poverty in among the local communities, protect cultures and ways of life, forests, environment wild life, and promote sustainable tourism mindful of the needs of the local people while at the same time giving the volunteer a great time and an Adventurous Safaris.

Whether you are a Construction worker, a painter, an administrator, a manager, an evangelist, a pastor or an individual with no specific skill - your time and knowledge and skill will be put to great use!
Our goal is to empower local communities through the volunteer’s skills and financial donations. We believe that local communities are in the best position to determine their needs, and we provide volunteers to help them achieve their goals. Volunteering is one of the great ways to contribute to the global community and gain experience, and also fosters personal growth. Therefore whether you would like to take a short term mission or vacation or a prolonged gap year, ACF provides challenging and affordable volunteers safari holiday programs.

Who is eligible to apply?

Everyone can be of service. ACF Volunteering has no language or professional requirements for participation. Volunteers typically share common characteristics such as flexibility, compassion, a sense of adventure, and most important, the desire to work with and learn from local people in the host community. Volunteers are drawn from all occupations and backgrounds, and from throughout the world. Each volunteer selects a service program that best employs their experience and interests, and a program where the volunteer feels engaged in a community project of lasting benefit. Volunteers must be in good health and have the mental and physical capability to function as a team member.

Therefore if you're open to new challenges and enjoy working with and learning from local people, then you can contribute to and benefit from a service-learning program. What we ask of you is flexibility, patience, a spirit of adventure, and a sense of humor. Most Ugandan cultures are very friendly though some provide a greater degree of predictability than others due to cultural norms.

Volunteers Program Opportunities

ACF strive to provide a better future for some of the most vulnerable children in Uganda. The need is expansive, and long-term, so your opportunity to make a significant difference through service is likewise immeasurable.

Think about how much you receive when you give and consider why you want to volunteer. You may have several different reasons. However if you are someone who has an open mind and flexible and would like:
• to share a skill
• to get to know a community
• to demonstrate commitment to a cause/belief
• to gain leadership skills
• to donate your professional skills
• to have an impact
• to learn something new
• to make new friends
• to explore a career
• to do something different from your job
• for fun!
• for religious reasons
• to keep skills alive
• to be an agent of change
...then ACF is your rightful place to be!

How to Apply

it was in March 2001 when I lived in USA God gave me a vision.

I had no money and I had no workpermit in USA and I had paid my last money for a room to rent in one month and after about 2 weeks of living in that house, the woman I rent room from start to act like satan and was close to kill me....( 2 years later should I find out that Pat Robertsons church had been there before I rent the room and they had tried to take away satan or demons from that house but failed )

When God test us

I have the experience of be walking on the streets for 3 years in USA and no income of money.

I understand now how hard it is to live in a country where there is no help of money from the Government. It is easy to be a thief and lier when you have nothing.

When I was walking in Florida and had no bed to sleep in and I passed the bars was I thinking it should be easy for me to get a bed for a night by walking in at the bar and join a man and sleep with him.

But I never did it because my fai

I was sitting on my balcony watching the waves today. They are very high and choppy and all churned up by the front passing by to the south of us. They've been that way for weeks now since we've had this parade of hurricanes and tropical storms.

Because the waves are dangerously high and the rip currents deadly, most of the tourists and locals who live in the condo-tel here have been using the pool that is right next to the beach and just below and to the left o

My eyeglasses broke a couple weeks ago for the final time. I say "Final Time" because for almost a year I had been gluing the frame back onto the lens to keep the lens from falling out because the metal frame had split over the left eye-piece. This time, the frame split right where the bridge over the nose connected to the left eye-piece at a place where glue just won't do it and neither will tape. Besides, all those Super-glue applications had left a
